Airissuin Crew

Riov (Commander) Jae ei-Havranha tr'Khellian -- Captain of Airissuin. A son of one of the most ancient and noble houses of ch'Rihan (the family name means "hunter"). At 37*, extremely young for a Rihanha Commander. Jae suffers from insecurity, frustration, and an insubordinate crew, but at least he's got his own ship, right?

Erei'riov (Sub-Commander) H'maiea i-Meinir t'Llhweiir -- First Officer and Chief of Flight Crew. Grew up with Jae in Airissuin Province when they were both hostage-fostered to House s'Rllaillieu, and entered the Fleet because she had little else to do as a second daughter. A bit of a mama's girl (Mama happens to be an Ambassador to the Federation outpost Waystation), a bit of a trouble-maker, and a secret romantic at heart.

Enarrain (Senior Centurion) Mnek'eine i-Thue t'Assihsian -- Master Engineer. Extremely bright and highly skilled, both as an engineer and in various arts. One of few crew members to hail from ch'Havran. She doesn't appreciate having an untried young Riov, whom she sees as having his commission handed to him based on connections.

Master Surgeon Hleinn ir-Verih -- One of the new breed of doctors hailing from the servant class, he worked 80 years as a medical researcher, and it occasionally shows in his bedside manner. He misses his family on Ysail colony, since this is the first time he's been separated from them for this long. Note that Rihanssu surgeons do not generally carry a rank.

Erenna (Centurion) Janah i-Lwende t'Llhe -- Security Officer. Highly precise and very calm, with a relatively high psi rating. In the evenings, she tries to teach herself Vulcan mind-control methods from a video series by Spock. She hails from the equatorial desert continent Nevasa, where her family breeds racing fvaiin.

Erein (Sub-Centurion) Dhani ei-Iah tr'Malhan -- Tactical Officer. Fresh out of Flight School, Dhani is still respectful of Jae, unlike most of the crew. He is only 23 and still has a bit of babyfat, at least on his face. Before joining Fleet, he got himself engaged to a commoner, something he is now having second thoughts about. He also desperately misses the beach his family owns, and the excellent surfing.

Erein Anikh ir-Iuruth -- Scientist. Like Hleinn, Anikh is of the servant class. She's much younger, though (25) and has no problem with being impertinent to the officers on the ship. Her pet project on board is running some agricultural experiments, and despite having chosen to do this kind of work, Anikh finds it entirely boring: literally watching the grass grow.

Khre-Riov (Commander-General) Leyna tr'Khellian -- Analogue to a Starfleet Admiral, she is nominally in charge of Airissuin and her assignments. She is also Jae's mother.

* Note: Like their distant cousins the Vulcans, Rihannsu can live about twice as long as humans and age accordingly on an extended curve. A Rihanha at 28 will be, on average, only as emotionally mature as a human 16-year-old, but physically and mentally conditioned enough to enter rihannen'galae (Fleet).
