Shortly before the original Club Calypso series began, Marianna Trench's bar was destroyed in a hurricane named for her sister Daniela. Depressed and with nothing better to do in the meantime, she took Inda Nett's offer of a chance to win scads of money... more than enough to rebuild the Club, and put in that juice bar Pollythene had been asking for.
Inda also asked Daniela, Frogman, Doreen, UPChuck, Dream, Pez (remember, this is before he was knocked off by Oskar/Alan), and Dava to compete for the money. Then he put it on TV and a 24-hour live Webcast. Unfortunately, Inda was not a marketing major, nor did he watch the CBS Survivor series very carefully. And, apparently, he doesn't know our major characters terribly well, either.
Oh, well. At least it makes for more entertainment!
Note: After more than four years (!) I have decided to work on this series again. So I finally finished Week Four, and maybe I'll work on Week Five. Or maybe it'll be another four years before I finish it. Whatever. Anyway, these stories are wicked funny. I could re-read my stuff for hours. You should, too.
