About Lori

Lori is our new Associate Graphic Designer. Here's a bit about her in her own words:

Back when my family first had access to the internet, I spent hours looking at the web. I didn’t understand how programs and sites were made- so I wanted to find out.

I took my first graphic design course in high school. I took every chance to play with Photoshop after hours making designs, drawings, and figuring out what every tool did. I created my first websites, writing about my vacations, posting pictures, and writing funny stories.

In college, I studied the fine arts. I painted, illustrated, and made sculptures, but mostly focused on graphic design. My first break was when I answered an ad for a model in the greater Hartford, CT area. Not only did I model, but when I mentioned that I could do web design, I was soon managing my first professional website.

After I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, I got a job upkeeping 13 car dealership websites in the southeastern CT area. I also had the opportunity to work on their print designs and general advertising as well, so it was a great experience.

From there, I moved into an interactive advertising agency based out of NYC. I was a Project Manager, but I never lost my love of design. Sometimes I snuck into creative and helped out the newer hires with Photoshop and Illustrator, and also helped out the company when the creative block was overloaded with other work. I created banners, site graphics, quality tested, and learned the inner workings of website builds.

Here’s what I can do:

• Banner ads (light Flash is do-able)
• Website designs and redesigns
• Basic HTML editing
• Text and HTML emails
• Logos
• Copywriting
• Quality assurance
